Laboratory of printing materials available in the following functions:

1. Areas of studying

Laboratory of printing materials of FGAM serves to equip students with the knowledge of safety work in the lab, using equipment, laboratory equipment in the printing industry; guiding conduct experiments, how to measure parameters such as paper, ink… computation, data analyzing, and reporting remarked experimental results. As follows:

+ Paper: measuring examination optical properties (whiteness, gloss), mechanical properties (tensile), determine the direction of the paper, the paper surface.

+ Ink: measuring the optical properties of the ink (colorimetry, gloss, false color tone, tinged with black), nature rheology (viscosity), fineness (particle size pigment and about size distribution).

2. Areas of researching

Laboratory of printing materials of FGAM in development-oriented research:

+ Research synthesis printing inks, varnishes coating used in traditional printing methods such as offset printing, gravure, flexo…

+ Research synthesis ink applications in the field of digital printing for applications in RFID tags, smart packaging, optoelectronic devices…
